Dunedin public transport could soon be the sole responsibility of the Dunedin City Council.

The Otago Regional Council today voted to hand control of the system to the DCC - if the city chooses to take it.

But despite giving control away, councillors are adamant there are no problems with the system.

Rather, they say, the DCC has more to offer.
