A government report says the number of skilled job vacancies advertised online in New Zealand is increasing.

The amount of jobs advertised has risen 0.6% from June.

And in total the number of internet-advertised skilled jobs has grown 9.9% in the last year.

The fields that saw the largest growth in vacancies advertised online were construction and engineering, hospitality and information technology.

The Jobs Online report was prepared by staff from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.
