A commercial truck has been the target of an extensive burglary, with offenders stealing 400 litres of diesel and several other items from the vehicle.

The truck was parked near the Berwick Forest, and also had two large aluminium ramps - each weighing three tonnes - stolen.

About 20 litres of hydraulic oil and several towing strops were also taken.

Police are following up several other burglaries, including that of a shed at the Balaclava School.

A carpet cleaner was taken from the shed, sometime over the last couple of weeks.

And offenders have smashed the window of a house in Jones Street, stealing an Xbox and a laptop.
