Another manager at the Dunedin City Council has resigned over the alleged Citifleet fraud.

Kevin Thompson was the group manager of regulatory services, and had oversight of Citifleet.

He's currently on leave, but has just tendered his resignation effective from October 3.

It was announced in a statement released earlier this evening.

Thompson's not under suspicion with regards to the $1.5m fraud investigation.

Last week Tony Avery resigned as the council's general manager of infrastructure and networks.
