A free family fun day attracted hundreds of mums, dads and children to the Forsyth Barr Stadium at the weekend.

The Father's Day themed event was run by the Dunedin Collaboration Against Family Violence.

And it was the first time the organisation's gone public with new resources designed to bring the community together.
