The City of Dunedin Choir and the Dunedin Youth Orchestra, conducted by David Burchell, are pleased to present a concert of romantic music ranging from somewhat melancholy to excitingly vibrant moods and soaring melodies.

The programme will include Rossini's “Overture: The Thieving Magpie”, Brahms' “Song of Destiny”, Borodin's “Polovetsian Dances” (from Prince Igor), Sibelius' “Karelia Suite”, and Mozart's “Concerto in A for Clarinet” with young clarinet soloist Nicole Batchelar, who is now in the third year of a B.Mus. focusing on conducting and composition.

<strong>'LET'S RAISE THE ROOF' CHARITY CONCERT FOR HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, ST PAUL'S CATHEDRAL</strong>

Habitat for Humanity is delighted to present 'LET'S RAISE THE ROOF', a charity concert to raise funds for its latest building venture.

Habitat for Humanity is a Christian not-for-profit organisation that works in partnership with people of goodwill and families in housing need, to eliminate substandard housing, by building, renovating and selling simple, decent homes on an affordable basis.

Habitat is very grateful to Balmacewen Intermediate's Special Choir, Tahuna Intermediate's Special Choir, OBHS 'Sheer Volume', The Flagstaff Community Choir, Sunny Side Up, Bb6 Ukelele Band,and the Dunedin Star Singers for their time and support.

Money raised from the concert will be put towards the purchase of carpet for a Turnbull Street home undergoing a refurbishment at the present time.
