The last month has seen fresh fruit and vegetables become cheaper throughout the country.

Prices fell the most for tomatoes, cucumber and lettuce.

There was an increase in the overall cost of other food items however, with chocolate, milk and meat all more expensive during October.

Confectionery, nuts and snacks were also up in cost - driving the overall price of grocery items up by 1.1%.

Fresh milk prices are also at their highest level - exceeding the previous peak in July.

But the cost of non-alcoholic beverages has fallen, particularly for soft drinks.

Meat, poultry, and fish prices also rose slightly.
