Situation

A trough of low pressure will move over the country today. A front will be spreading over New
Zealand tomorrow, followed by a period of cooler southwest airflow. An anticyclone will move
towards the North Island on Thursday and Friday while another front moves onto the South
Island at the weekend.

Dunedin

Showers clearing tonight. Fine at first tomorrow but showers developing again during the
afternoon with colder southwesterly winds slowly freshening.
Any morning showers clearing on Wednesday with sunny periods increasing and cold gusty
southwest winds easing.

North Otago

Showers clearing tonight. Fine at first tomorrow but showers developing again during the
afternoon with colder southwesterly winds slowly freshening.
Any morning showers clearing on Wednesday with sunny periods increasing and cold gusty
southwest winds easing.

Central Otago

Mostly fine tonight. Cloud increasing and lowering tomorrow with colder southwesterly winds
freshening from the middle of the day; a brief period of light showers during the afternoon then
clearing. Mostly fine and sunny on Wednesday with moderate cool southwesterlies.

South Otago/Southland

Cloudy tonight and tomorrow with frequent showers; snow lowering to 500m tomorrow afternoon.
Cold, with fresh gusty southwesterlies.
Showers clearing and sunny periods increasing on Wednesday with cold southwest winds easing.
