A new qualification has been launched at Otago Polytechnic, offering a major in Maori Organisational Leadership.

Developer of the major, Richard Kerr-Bell, says it will enable students to explore areas from Maori values and sustainability to examples of Maori leadership in the history of Aotearoa.

Now those with experiences in Maori business have the opportunity to have their knowledge and skills formally recognised.

Otago Polytechnic Chief Executive Phil Ker describes the major as an exciting pathway, which is expected to become a cornerstone of several new initiatives.
