Building activity continues to increase, with a small rise in the June quarter.

Overall the volume of building activity grew by 1% in that period.

It followed a 15% increase in the previous quarter.

Non-residential building activity was up 2.5%, while housing volumes remained the same.

In current prices, the unadjusted value of all building activity in the June quarter was $3.8b.

Auckland and Canterbury still have the highest levels of building activity.
