Asking prices for residential properties remain subdued nationwide, for the fifth consecutive month.
The average asking price rose 0.1% in September, to about $480,000.
The Auckland market in particular has slumped since the March peak when asking prices were up 5%.
Overall six regions have had double-digit increases in the last year.
Taranaki leads with a 23% increase, followed by Gisborne.
The West Coast had the weakest result, with a 9.5% drop in the past year.
