About $1000 worth of jewellery was stolen from a Maori Hill home, along with computer equipment.
An iPod and several computer accessories worth hundreds of dollars were taken, as well as a jewellery box full of trinkets.
There were also burglaries at houses in Bathgate Street and Canongate.
Offenders tried to steal a Suzuki car, and also took a computer modem and clothing.
The nine vehicles broken into were located across the city.
